Elske Swets | Communications Manager

Elske Swets is Communications Manager at IUCN NL. She coordinates the communications team and is responsible for communications within a number of projects, including Onder het Maaiveld and Operation Jaguar.

Elske graduated in Dutch art and literature. After her master’s degree, she started her career in the publishing field and then switched to communications. She worked for over 15 years as a communications consultant for various organisations before following her heart and her love for nature by joining IUCN NL in 2020.

Sustainability has been a recurring theme in her career. Elske advised and supported several multinationals in their sustainability policy and communication.

From 2010-2014 Elske lived and worked in Singapore. There she became familiar with the Asian culture, which came in handy during her work for Asian organisations in the following years.
